Is There a Canadian Housing Market Slowdown in the Winter?

Does winter mean a slowdown in the Canadian housing market? I talk about the Canadian housing market slowdown in this video, and the impact of the winter season:

Winter is coming and that means that the housing market should be slowing down. Interest rates increases are also going to have a bit of an impact. What’s interesting, though, is that in the last week or so I’ve had several groups of clients, and I’ve heard anecdotally through realtors about multiple offer situations. So, if a house is priced right and if it’s in that sweet spot of $300,000 to $400,000 in the Edmonton are, there’s going to be a lot of interest in that property despite what interest rates are doing. A lot of people have rate holds that are still good and are sub 5% rate holds. Those people will be scrambling to find a place. If you want to get pre-approved, give me a call.
