It might make sense this Christmas to be a bit of a grinch, and make a budget for gifts.
I’ll admit it – I’m going to be a bit of a Grinch this holiday season. I am reducing how much I’m spending on gifts, I would encourage you to maybe do the same. There’s nothing worse than getting your January credit card bill and you’re like, “I spent how much?” And then you have to scramble to hopefully pay off that credit card – maybe you don’t pay it off, and then you’re paying interest on gifts that people may be re-gifting. Not a good scene.
Anyway, try to get away with spending less this year. Go for something that would be still appreciated by people, saves you money, and how many Pokemons or whatever those squishy kid toys do kids really need these days? So make a budget!

I also have a helpful video about why now is a good time to get a variable-rate mortgage.
