In terms of getting the mortgage, there are a few extra challenges when you’re moving to a new province. These are mostly around getting your job secured. Of course, you need a job in order to qualify for the mortgage. Most people are moving with their current employer or they can work remotely. That is much simpler than if you’re arriving and don’t have anything lined up. You need big down payments and a strong prospect in that case.
